What is Mass Communication?
Mass Communication, or Mass Comm, as many people are more used to calling it, is the process of distributing and exchanging information among a large number of people using mass media. Since technology has improved the efficiency of information delivery, it enables the use of a variety of mediums of communication. Advertising and journalism are two major examples of platforms that we are all familiar with.
As opposed to interpersonal and organisational communication, Mass Communication concentrates on specific tools for delivering information to a large number of people. The primary focus of the study of mass communication is on how the ideas and facts spread widely influence or have an emotional or behavioural impact on those who receive them. Radio, television, social networking, and other channels are commonly used for Mass Communication and are often known as “mediums.”

Additionally, before sharing findings with the public, a person must possess the ability to critically review all of their information and investigations.
- Communication
Depending on the career path a person chooses after earning a degree in Mass Communication, having strong verbal and written communication skills is essential for effectively delivering information across a variety of media outlets. This will improve productivity and communication when working on projects with colleagues.
- Adaptability
A skill that allows a person to easily adapt to changing circumstances is referred to as adaptability. Being able to adjust to developments and technology is crucial because the media industry is continuously changing.

5. IACT College
IACT College is currently known as the International Advertising, Communication, and Technology College. It was earlier known as the Institute for Advertising and Communication Training. It is the first institution in Malaysia to be accredited by the International Advertising Association in New York, which was founded by the Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As).
