QS World University Rankings originated in the United Kingdom, ranking universities around the world since 2004. There are six metrics that are used by QS to measure university performance and each metric carries different weighting when calculating overall scores.Â
The six metrics are as follows:
Metric | Weight |
Academic Reputation | 40% |
Faculty/Student Ratio | 20% |
Citations per Faculty | 20% |
Employer Reputation | 10% |
International Faculty Ratio | 5% |
International Student Ratio | 5% |
