Have you thought of applying for PR in Australia? You can actually consider applying for the Skilled Independent Visa (Subclass 189).
This visa is for Points-tested skilled workers who are not sponsored by an employer or family member or nominated by a state or territory government. It allows you to live and work in Australia as a PR. It is one of the most popular visa options for international students to live permanently in Australia.
One of the biggest obstacle in applying for this visa is to achieve the required points to lodge an expression of interest (EOI). At the moment the minimum points required is 65 Points and you can accumulate these points through various method . According to the guidelines, there is one hidden method to achieve an additional 5 points to add weight to your application. Under other factors you would be able to identify ‘partner skills’. In summary if you lodge your PR application together with a partner (de-facto or married) and this partner has a suitable skill assessment from the relevant assessing authority for their nominated skilled occupation. Both of you will be able to add 5 additional points to support your PR application.
